Mega Man Volnutt Returns

I created this piece before the announcement (and subsequent cancellation of) Mega Man Legends 3. The Mega Man series has and always will hold a special place in my heart. I lovingly created this piece from my vision of what Mega Man would look like in Legends 3. It was a process of many concept designs (which I will release) which finally made it to the finished product.

The idea here is since Mega Man was left trapped on the moon at the end of Legends 2, his hair had grown in the time it took his crew to rescue him. His pose also seems to indicate being in the heat of battle. I purposely placed the Bonnes' pirate ships behind him, implying that they had gotten over their differences and had banded together to face an unseen enemy in the direction Mega Man is looking.

The fact that the biggest portion of the Bonnes' main ship, the Gesellschaft (the green one) is mostly hidden in the clouds is also done purposely. I did this to imply that their ship had been upgraded and left it to the viewers imagination as to what the rest of the ship looks like (though I definitely have ideas).
